Cooking eggs

The on-screen activity looks at the different ways in which eggs can be eaten and invites children to match the term to the cooking description. In addition to traditional stove methods of cooking, eggs can of course be scrambled in the microwave or even poached if you have a special microwaveable poaching set. Fried eggs need not be a less desirable health option, as only a small amount of oil is actually needed to prevent the egg from sticking to the pan. The drag and drop activity asks pupils to match the egg meal picture to its cooking description and gives pupils basic recipes of the different ways to cook eggs. The PDF download can provide a take-home sheet for pupils to try and taste the different methods at home.
