Eggs Factor: lesson plans and activities
The Eggs Factor is a self-contained project, combining a series of lesson plans for an engaging classroom activity.
Lesson plans and activity sheets have been developed to support pupils planning egg-based recipes, whilst also developing their awareness of the nutritional value of eggs and their skills in working with food.
Although primarily designed for KS2 pupils, the resources are flexible enough to be used with older groups of children.
The resources will help pupils learn about basic food types and preparation, and the importance of hygiene and safety when working with food. Schools taking part in the Healthy Schools Initiative will find these resources particularly helpful.
The resources are focused around the curriculum area of Design and technology, although there are also cross-curricular links to other subjects such as Literacy, Science and Numeracy.
